Can I use Dynamics 365 Commerce with my existing online store?

Yes. Dynamics 365 Commerce offers a headless commerce engine with open APIs. You can use the integrated site builder for a native online store or connect external e-commerce platforms via APIs and middleware. Microsoft provides sample implementations and code samples in the Headless Commerce Samples GitHub Repository.

How does the point of sale (POS) work?

Store Commerce is the current POS application in Dynamics 365 Commerce. It can be deployed as a browser app or cross-platform app on various devices and supports offline capability. During network outages, the system automatically switches to the local offline database. Automatic index compression and proactive size management prevent the offline database from exceeding the SQL Server Express size limit.

How secure is my data?

Dynamics 365 Commerce is built on the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, which is certified to ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 27701 and other standards. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. European data residency is available on request. Payment data is processed via the native Adyen integration using separate connections.

What does Dynamics 365 Commerce cost?

The licensing model is user-based and subscription-based. In addition to the core Commerce licence, there are add-on licences, for example for the e-commerce storefront and the Commerce Scale Unit (Cloud). The exact costs depend on the scope of modules required and the number of users. We are happy to prepare a customised quote for you.
