What’s new in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management 10.0.49?
With version 10.0.49 (build 10.0.2790), Microsoft continues to enhance planning, procurement, production, inventory, and warehouse management in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. Support supplier relationships with Supplier Engagement
Supplier Engagement is listed as a preview feature in version 10.0.49. The capability is designed to support supplier relationship management and collaboration in Procurement and sourcing and is enabled through Feature management.
For organizations, this introduces a new functional component for supplier engagement. Because the capability is in preview, its scope, security roles, data access, and process implications should be evaluated before production use.
Planning considers transport calendars and complex production structures
Planning Optimization can consider whether a date is open for pickup on the transport calendar when creating planned transfer orders. In addition, supply forecast reduction can take sub-BOMs and sub-routes into account.
Another capability filters derived requirements by coverage time fence. These enhancements give planners more control over transport constraints, multilevel production structures, and time-bound planning horizons.
Greater control over batches and warehouse inventory
In production orders and batch orders, same-batch selection can be enforced for raw materials. This preview capability supports scenarios in which batch consistency and material traceability are particularly important.
In Warehouse management, a new capability prevents inventory owned by different parties from being stored in the same warehouse location. Optimized inventory transaction consolidation is also included as a preview feature.
Process inbound ASNs as despatch advice messages
Inbound advance shipment notices (ASNs) can be imported as despatch advice messages. According to the release overview, this capability is enabled by default and extends support for integrated inbound warehouse processes.
Organizations with existing integrations or automated inbound processes should review how their current message and data structures align with the new processing model.
Use financial tags in procurement documents
The Use financial tags in procurement documents capability makes Financial tags available in procurement documents. It is enabled through the Enable financial tags for purchase order invoicing feature in Feature management.
This enhancement integrates financial classifications more closely with the procure-to-pay process. Before adoption, organizations should define which financial tags are required and how they will be used in purchase orders, vendor invoices, and reporting.
