Full release details: Details about Release
Identify procurement risks earlier with Procurement Agent
Procurement Agent impact analysis evaluates the downstream impact of purchase order changes. It helps purchasers identify whether inventory, production orders, sales orders, or transfer orders could be affected by a quantity reduction, cancellation, or delayed confirmed delivery date.
The “Try out the updates from vendors feature without a complete email setup” capability also enables organizations to evaluate supplier communications before completing the full email integration. Vendor messages can be entered manually and analyzed by the agent, making it easier to assess the business scenario before a broader technical rollout.
Greater stability for confirmed dates in Planning Optimization
In Master planning, version 10.0.48 introduces several capabilities for confirmed demand and capable-to-promise (CTP) dates. These include Keep supply for confirmed demand in Planning Optimization, Optimize confirmed dates for CTP line changes, and Soft issue margins with Planning Optimization.
These enhancements provide additional options for aligning planning logic with confirmed customer commitments. Because the capabilities are enabled through Feature management, existing planning policies, extensions, and business scenarios should be validated before deployment.
More flexible warehouse processes with Power Fx and precise capture
Dynamic work classification uses Power Fx formulas to determine warehouse work parameters at runtime. In addition, the cluster picking strategy supports more precise serial and batch capture by controlling processing by location or cluster position.
Warehouse management is further enhanced by the optimized 3D packing containerization algorithm. The capability improves how the dimensions of items and containers are considered when items are assigned to shipping containers.
More flexibility in product lifecycle management and production
Product lifecycle state policies can now be configured without Engineering Change Management. This makes lifecycle-state-based controls for business processes available to a broader range of implementation scenarios.
In Production control, the update supports automatically stopping and resuming production jobs for indirect activities. A material list can also be displayed on the production floor execution interface, giving workers direct access to relevant material information during shop-floor execution.
Advancing intelligent procurement and more flexible operations
Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management 10.0.48 combines AI-powered innovation with targeted enhancements across planning, warehouse management, product information management, and production.
For organizations, this means greater visibility into procurement decisions, more stable planning, and more efficient processes across the supply chain. Warehouse enhancements, extended controls for product lifecycle states, and improvements to production execution help make operational processes more flexible and robust. Overall, version 10.0.48 strengthens responsiveness and provides a foundation for a more efficient and connected supply chain.
